Long term successful cooperation with Nikola Tesla International Airport is reflected in the business support, exchange of experiences in the framework of the business visits and tours of the airports. Saša Vlaisavljević, Acting Managing Director of AD Nikola Tesla Airport, Belgrade is with his leading team during the visit to Banja Luka Airport made a tour of the infrastructure, newly regulated terminal building and technical facilities.
Mr Vlaisavljević has talked to Duško Kovačević, Acting managing Director of Banja Luka International Airport on the improvement of the cooperation of the two airports, which is already strong for couple of years. The cooperation of the Nikola Tesla Airport and Banja Luka Airport is based on the technical assistance which the professional services of the Belgrade Airport provide to the colleagues in Banja Luka. Professional assistance represents donations of the airport equipment and training which the Centre for professional training provides in the area of business from the ground handling. Likewise, the topics of the meetings were also the activities in the area of the commercial business, which include the assistance in bringing the new air-companies in Banja Luka.
In the return visit to the representatives of the management of Banja Luka Airport in the company of the colleagues from the Belgrade Airport have toured Nikola Tesla Airport, where they acquainted with the handling of passengers and baggage, service of the aircrafts as well as the conducted investments fro the purpose of modernization and improvement of the infrastructure of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
During the visit, in Belgrade was a meeting with the Vice-President of the Government of Serbia and the Minister of Civil Engineering, Traffic and Infrastructure, prof. dr Zorana Mihajlović and the topics were the development plans of the Banja Luka International Airport and the support of the Government of Serbia. Mihajlović has pointed out that for the further development of Banja Luka Airport was necessary to continue with the investments in this airport.
“Besides “Air Serbia” that already flies from Belgrade to Banja Luka I believe that in the following period will also be some other companies that will fly from this airport and we are ready to help in order that this airport would become strong as some other airports in the region”, said Mihajlović. Acting of Director of Banja Luka Airport, Duško Kovačević has thanked the Vice-President of the Government on the opportunity to present the results and plans for the further development of Banja Luka Airport.
“We have a good cooperation with “Nikola Tesla” Airport and with “Konstantin Veliki ” Airport, as well with the company “Air Serbia”. We are very keen that “Air Serbia” continues to fly at the line Belgrade- Banja Luka and if it is possible to have more lines and it is particularly important for us to be able to count on the further assistance of the Government of the Republic of Serbia”, said Kovačević
At the meeting in the Government of Serbia attended also Acting Managing Director of “Nikola Tesla ” Airport, Saša Vlaisavljević.
